Eddie Andelman is no stranger to the Boston radio market. For many years he was on the 1510 The Zone and 850 WEEI, sports stations, where he garnered a large and loyal audience. In total, he has spent over 35 years in sports talk radio. Eddie is known as "The God Father of Sports Talk" and is written about in Sports Talk Book by Alan Eiserstock and has been featured in Time Magazine, Newsweek, Sports Illustrated, The Boston Globe, The Boston Herald and Boston Magazine. Eddie raised $50,000 to enable paralyzed jockey Rudy Biaz to build ramps in his house, and delivered baseball equipment to kids in the Dominican Republic.
Eddie Andelman is not only an excellent fundraiser, but he is also recognized as a true judge of the perfect hot dog. He can be seen every now and then on the Phantom Gourmet debating hot dog versus hamburgers, favoring the hot dog, of course. It was his passion for the hot dog that led to his creation of Eddie Andelman's Hot dog Safari.
Eddie attended Boston University, graduating with a BA and BS in accounting. Later, he earned his MBA from Northeastern University. Eddie is married to the fabulous Judy and together they have raised three sons, David, Michael and Danny.
